Essays - part two
Well, here is the first "appendix" to the original letter I wrote to my dad. This bit deals with the importance of the church and its role in the dialogue of scripture.I think we need to give the church - even the church as we often criticize it - a more careful look.

We had a really good discussion about it yesterday. I don't think I'll ever get him to fully appreciate where I'm coming from with this but it's really helping both of us to stretch and learn as well as get to know each other better. The third installment will include some response to our discussion yesterday.
