In Uganda, a country torn by war and unhappiness, street artists are turning potholes into works of art. I couldn't resist the beauty of this metaphor.
there are lots of other wonderful and happy things in Uganda, like my son's extended family, the sun, and the peace which extends throughout most of the country (kony is only in the very far north), oh, and the beautiful people, and the strong and growing church, and the fact that it is one of the few African nations where HIV and AIDS is diminishing. But, the pothole art is nice too.

God is constantly making something out of nothing, beautifying the ugly.
